International Scholarships
McNeese is proud to offer scholarships to international students. If you have any questions about your classification as an international student please reach out to the Office of International Programs at internationaloffice@xaytny.com.
- If you are a new student at McNeese, you must indicate on your Application for Admission that you want to be considered for scholarships.
- If you are a continuing student at McNeese, you can apply for scholarships by submitting the Academic Scholarship Application or by sending a copy of your resume to scholarshipdocs@xaytny.com.
Important Information About Scholarship Eligibility:
- Students can only be considered for scholarships after being fully admitted.
- Undergraduate scholarships are renewable for 8 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) if you continue to meet the requirements detailed in your award letter.
- Graduate scholarships are renewable for 4 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) if you continue to meet the requirements detailed in your award letter.
- Students who are sponsored by government or government-affiliated scholarship programs are not eligible for scholarships through McNeese State University.
- Scholarship awards are not guaranteed even if a student meets all eligibility requirements as awards are subject to the availability of funding.
First Time Freshmen:
To be considered for this scholarship, students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and meet one of the following minimum test scores:

Transfer Students:
To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University with at least 12 college level hours.

Graduate Student Scholarships:
To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University. Foreign credential evaluation required for all transcripts from non-US institutions.
